to make an indoor bowling game Have children draw a bowling pin shape onto paper. Cut out nine of these shapes. Add a colored stripe to the neck of each pin with crayon or marker. Tape one paper bowling pin to each block. Set up pins in a pyramid shape on a smooth floor see below. Have children take turns rolling a ball into their block pins. Our silly game of giggles was score free; but, full of ball rolling fun.
make a bowling set for children's gifts!
how to make your own bowling gift set Make pins as shown above, with wood blocks. Add a ball and the pins to a canvas bag to give and store the bowling set in. We use lacrosse balls—they come in so many colors! The size and weight of lacrosse balls are just right to knock those handmade wood pins down (again and again)! Decorate the bag with the child's name or a simple, graphic, painted-on bowling ball, if you wish! ©heather cahoon • wordplayhouse®
