Over frozen snow we go. Levitated atop the deep white bed — freezing rains have made the surface impervious to our soft footprints. Peaceful winter silence, aside from the soft 'crunch, crunch' of our boot steps.
We share our discoveries. Rough dried flower pods, bare twigs, crisp leaves. An animal burrow, plowed out by little paws.
