Some children like their leafy greens. Ours mostly do. But these leafy greens are for pretending. Leaves, grasses and blossoms our children contently scavenged in the woods for play food.
Under the canopy of stately oaks, these prettily child-prepared pretend entrees were served up splendidly on applewood planks (and a ladder, of all things). Delicately rolled and tied with grasses or garnished with Bleeding Heart flower blossoms. Their menu looked as if it could rally against any five star restaurant, but we didn't taste it.
It was just the prettiest pretend food.
