1 On account of the eggs to be collected, 2 wear a dress with pockets.
3 If you ask nicely, and because you are her granddaughters, Nana will let you bring home the teacups. To keep. 4 But, Papa can keep his CHOKEcherries. You will learn after tasting these pucker-ers just once, that they are aptly named.
we know...
1 Nana always has enough aprons to go around. 2 Because there are most always sweet smells coming from the oven to be mixed and made.
3 Give the one who made you breakfast a hug. But not too big of one (thank you Flossie, and the other hens, for the eggs...and gentle patience). 4 Work is fun, especially if you will be eating them (the potatoes, not the hens).
we know...
1 There is so much for sharing. Frogs you find are for sharing. 2 Meals are for sharing too (though, not at the same time as sharing frogs).
3 Sharing dinner in Nana's and Papa's railroad car dining room is especially lovely. 4 Papa will show you where all the prettiest flowers are for sharing with Nana.
we know...
1 Hold on to these warm memories closely. 2 And, hold on to the ones you love if the road is too long or hard (Nana and two of our little ones here). Laughing helps too.
3 Work at what you love. 4 To make it beautiful where you play.
we know...
because we learned these things when we took a road trip to visit Nana and Papa. You can visit them too, and stay at their bed and breakfast, here at Whiteley Creek ©heather cahoon • wordplayhouse®
